Lighting designers have a challenging time photographing their projects of highend residential homes. How do they show the subtleties of the project when faced with the limitations given in the reproducible range that print and computer screens can show? How can they find a photographer that understands their intent and be able to capture the look they create?
Using advanced digital photography and the skilled application of Photoshop in the post-production process designers now can show their designs better than ever before. Marin lighting designer Anna Kandolf work is shown in the examples photographed by David Livingston.

The details. All the photos had overall and selective color corrections made. Distracting reflections were either eliminated or reduce. Some of the photos where actually composites of multiple exposures brought together to make the more perfect final photo. Additional fill light when needed was use sparingly and not detracting from the overall feeling.
