Ironies is a California based luxury furniture manufacture in the design forefront, for years I have I photographed their Ad campaign. Ironies furniture is designed in California and made to order from their own factories in California and Indonesia. The furniture is fresh, bold and unique. The mix of materials always inspiring. Photography often takes place in the interiors of the Kneedler-Fauchere showroom in San Francisco.
The principals of Ironies and I make a great monochromatic assemblage of forms and textures for each photo. We want to create a soft mood and I work with a mix of natural and strobe lighting. The product photography seeks to show the modern sensibilities of Ironies. The furniture is moved around like paint on a canvas until an interesting composition forms that will run as a two page ad with space for logo and copy. I use photoshop to adjust the product photography for the final print ad.
